Detroit names Lilley new head coach

11/09/2007 - Southfield, MI (Sportsbook Betting Lines) - Detroit of the Major Indoor Soccer League named Bob Lilley its new head coach and promoted former coach Mark Pulisic to Director of Soccer Operations on Tuesday.

Lilley spent nine years as a head coach in the United Soccer Leagues, winning the USL Championship with the Vancouver Whitecaps in 2006.

"Bob has a great soccer coaching mind, and he relates extremely well with his players," said Pulisic, who coached Detroit since its inception in 2006. "He recently won an outdoor championship and has been a winner everywhere that hes coached"

Detroit (1-0) visits defending MISL champion Philadelphia on Saturday.
